PHOTOGRAPHING PUFFINS ON SKOMER ISLAND

AFTER STORM HANNAH ALMOST PUTS A HALT TO THE TRIP, WE FINALLY GET OUR CHANCE TO PHOTOGRAPH THE PUFFINS

In this episode of Photo Escapes, we travel to Skomer Island to photograph the iconic puffins.

In the typical fashion of the British weather, Storm Hannah prevents the boat from running to the island on the planned day. With our new found time of the Pembrokeshire Coast, we embrace the 50mph gusts and go in search of subjects to photograph. The result is a blustery experience capturing kite surfers on Broadhaven Beach. With the all clear to travel the next day, we spend 2 nights hanging out with and photographing the beautiful puffins (John’s new favourite bird!).

The full film can be seen on the right. If you want to explore more of our photo escapes, our full film selection can be seen on our youtube channel.
