THE BRIEF
Talisker Whisky hired us to capture images of a kayak race through central London. We were asked to take portraits at the start and end of the race, and to ensure it looked like a real adventure and challenge, not a walk in the park. We were also asked to focus on the branding, and capture the spirit of the post-race event at the Mayflower Pub.
OUR THOUGHTS
The weather was almost too perfect, so we had to work hard to give the images that adventurous, outdoor look. There were lots of directions given to the competitors to paddle quickly, and splash as much as possible! We hired a large RIB to transport us along the Thames, which gave us the freedom to move around quickly, in order to get a variety of different shots from both in front of, and behind the kayakers. It was incredibly inspiring event to be a part of, with world records holders for the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge giving talks at the post-paddle reception.
